Sandusky County voters to decide three races

Sandusky County voters mainly will casting complementary votes for area candidates for the Nov. 5 General Election.

There are only three area races this fall for county voters to decide — one for the 88th District State Representative between Democrat Dianne Selvey, Clyde, and Republican incumbent Gary Click, Vickery.

County voters also will be included in the vote for Ohio's 9th Congressional District race between Democrat incumbent Marcy Kaptur, Toledo, and challenger Republican Dereck Merrin, Waterville, who now is serving in the Ohio House of Representatives for the 42nd District.

The third race on the ballot for county voters to decide will be for Sandusky County coroner between incumbent Democrat James M. Williams, Fremont, and Republican Mark R. Smith, Clyde.

I’m in Sandusky now and it is amazing that I haven’t seen one sign on that. In central Ohio there is quite the push with vote yes on Issue 1 to stop gerrymandering and vote No on Issue 1 to stop Gerrymandering signs!!! Interesting that Republicans will steal an issue and lie on their signs. By the way, to end gerrymandering in Ohio and put citizens in charge vote YES on Issue 1!
