Butler County hopes incentives bring in election volunteers

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Butler County is looking to add election workers by offering incentives.

Board of Elections Director Nicole Unzicker said they’re paying election workers around $200 as early voting begins on Oct. 8.

“It’s a lot of training,” Unzicker said. “Three hours of training that they come in and long hours on election day. It’s a lot of information that they’re learning in a quick period of time.”

Unzicker said they have enough workers to run the election, but they need backups and some people based on their political party.
