Supervisors approve 75-cent EMS tax levy for Nov. ballot
TOLEDO Braving the humid morning air on Monday, Aug. 26, the usual gang of local government-conscious citizens made their way to the Tama County Board of Supervisors meeting. Chairman Curt Hilmer was absent, so Supervisor Dan Anderson was at the helm.
The meeting started like usual with Tama County Engineer Ben Daleske giving his report, saying that the Iowa Bridge and Culvert crew are finishing up their current projects on F Avenue and E Avenue. The department will once again go back to 8-hour days after Labor Day, and the engineer will soon go on a cruise with Mid-American to see any possible damage to any streets from their recent project per their road use agreement.
Daleske also has an upcoming meeting with FEMA concerning the flooding that occurred in late May.
Public hearings to amend the Open Records Act, ordinance #11.3 were set for Sept. 16, 23, and 30 at 8:50 a.m.
