disappointed about the Ohio Supreme Court results

I can't believe Ohioans are ok with a s.c. judge whose daddy is governor. Really? Really. The results probably mean that Ohio will remain gerrymandered and dems will have less and less representation, even if they want more.
Justice Brunner will stay on the court, but she'll be a minority voice.

I hate r's, hate them. I really wanted to throw off the yoke of their oppression.

and soul crushing but entirely predictable. In Ohio corruption and ethics are entirely ignored or forgiven if you worship at the alter of the elephant. I can't escape this fascists hellhole soon enough!

The Ohio Supreme Court has saved us several times in the recent past.

Justice O'Connor has to leave in Dec, I think. Term limits.

Yes, they did their best to limit the sleaze factor in Ohio state government. All bets are off soon.

She was elected in 2020. This election, she was running for position of Chief Justice, to replace Chief Justice O'Connor. Justice Brunner will keep her seat on the supreme court, even though she didn't win the Chief Justice seat.

I went to a meet and greet the week before the general election, and I asked that question. From Justice Brunner's mouth to my ears

In that meeting, she also said that Justice O'Connor supported her effort to run.

I also met Judge Jamison. She is the real deal, and whoever she ran against wasn't the best candidate. But Ohio. They like fat cat men with 5 o'clock shadows. Yuck.

Interesting. I sent piles of postcards out for the three Dems and had their signs in the yard. First year for signs since Kerry and Obama signs were burned/ shot at. Sometimes I get exasperated by Brunner when she jumps from one elected position to the next mid term. Her leaving the SOS position for a loss was beyond me. I’m glad she still has a seat. We are in for a rough ride! Thanks for the clarification. 😊
