5. I'd argue that "normal" can be re-established when...

... there is an effective treatment. There is no vaccine for HIV, but the treatments are highly effective. Having the antibodies is a good thing but we still don't know enough about the virus, how long the antibodies last, how long the immunity is for. Maybe we get a vaccine for Covid-19 that's as good as the flu vaccine. But like Obama's energy policy we need to pursue "all of the above".
