KENT, Ohio Kent State University on Wednesday announced that Joe Walsh and David Crosby will headline a benefit concert as part of the 50th commemoration of the deadly shooting of protestors by National Guardsmen on May 4, 1970.
The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. on May 2 at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, KSU said in a news release. It is part of a series of events to commemorate the shootings, in which the Ohio National Guard killed four students and injured nine others when they opened fire on a crowd protesting the Vietnam War and bombing of Cambodia.
