Joe Walsh, David Crosby to headline Kent State's May 4, 1970 commemoration concert

KENT, Ohio – Kent State University on Wednesday announced that Joe Walsh and David Crosby will headline a benefit concert as part of the 50th commemoration of the deadly shooting of protestors by National Guardsmen on May 4, 1970.

The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. on May 2 at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, KSU said in a news release. It is part of a series of events to commemorate the shootings, in which the Ohio National Guard killed four students and injured nine others when they opened fire on a crowd protesting the Vietnam War and bombing of Cambodia.

I was a Junior. We all gathered in the campus Rathskeller that evening to plan demonstrations. Time sure does fly. We certainly lived during interesting, and very, very strange, times.

they also need Jackson Browne, Rage Against the Machine, and especially have John Fogarty sing Deja Vu (All Over Again).

Hell, just bring together the surviving performers from Woodstock and the No Nukes shows.
