Bomb squad responds to Cleveland venue hosting Hillary Clinton event with Jay-Z

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland police bomb squad is investigating a suspicious package found outside the Wolstein Center on Cleveland State's campus, where a large Hillary Clinton event featuring stars like Jay Z is set to begin.

Though officers have not determined what the package contains, several downtown streets are being closed as a precaution, Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said.

Carnegie Avenue is closed in both directions between East 18th Street and East 22nd Street, Ciaccia said. Prospect Avenue is also closed at East 21st Street.

(Updated 8 p.m.): The package was deemed OK by the bomb squad at about 7:45 p.m., Ciaccia said. All roads around the Wolstein Center are now open.
