Heitkamp unlikely to join Trump cabinet

Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., said Thursday she more than likely won’t be considered for a cabinet post in Republican President-elect Donald Trump’s administration.

Heitkamp, during an interview on her brother Joel Heitkamp’s radio show on KFGO in Fargo, admitted speculation on her possibly being tapped to work with Trump isn’t likely to come to fruition.

“I’m not saying ‘never, never,’ but I will tell you that … I’m very, very honored to serve the people of North Dakota," Heitkamp said.

Speculation of the possibility of Heitkamp joining Trump was fueled by an early December meeting in Trump Tower in New York City. She’s previously said the meeting was productive and centered primarily on issues such as energy production and the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Those red states are DOA for the Democratic Party. The Reich wing and kochs have made the narrative that Democratic and liberals are evil sinful people who want to abort every baby. They have so brainwashed people that they lost the ability to think for themselves or realize the rethugs are constantly screwing them over. They continue to vote against their best interests because some rethug jerk on a 1 minute commercials say only rethugs love Jesus not the Democrats.

That might give any Republican pol a chance to be immersed in essence de Trump--whether they like it or not. A Trump economy, Trump--publican policies, and maybe a candidate from Team Donkey might not look so bad after all.

Is that he's not going to become President until January 20th, and even then it's going to take a while for any changes to the economy caused by his policies to be felt by the average Joe or Jane. There is a tremendous amount of inertia present in an economy the size of ours, as some of us remember even as things seemed to continue downhill for a couple of months after President Obama was sworn in back in January of 2009.

For better or worse (mostly the latter), it may be the Trumpublican GOP's rule, but it'll be President Obama's economy for a while yet.
