Roy Cooper: "I'm running for governor"

From Roy Cooper via email today:

I wanted you to hear this first: I'm running to be your next governor.

It’s time for North Carolina to work for everyone, not just the few. It’s time for a governor who believes that we should measure our state by the success of regular working folks.

Truth is, Governor McCrory has the wrong priorities for North Carolina. He's been giving away the store to those at the top, at the expense of the middle class and our schools.

We need a new set of priorities -- a focus on helping incomes rise, putting more money back in the pockets of middle class families, and helping small businesses grow. When our economy grows, your paycheck should grow. It is time for everyone, not just a select few, to experience the rewards of an improving economy.

And making education a priority again can make these things happen.

Let me know you’re ready to join me. Click here to say you’re in.

Thanks for your support,

Roy Cooper
