State to address election protests for Kinston and Morehead City candidates tomorrow

We have been following multiple election protests over the course of the past few weeks, and tomorrow 3 of them will be addressed at the state level.

Two Kinston elections and the Morehead City mayoral election will be addressed by the state in Raleigh tomorrow, but what are the protests for exactly.

In Morehead City mayoral candidate Lee Stiles beat incumbent mayor Jerry Jones by one vote. While in Kinston, 3 different candidates are facing concerns around where they live, and not living within city limits at all, or not living in city limits early enough into the filing period.

The Morehead City mayoral election has come down to one single vote. Candidate Lee Stiles is leading the vote by 1, withdrew his earlier appeals to the Carteret County Board of elections. And is now requesting a new election / runoff.
