As far as status. It gives a real idea of what’s happening and what will need to be done.

All timing of the work will be dependent on the roads. So there’s a built in delay.

Since I’m a retired electrician I’m going to talk a little about power lines. There’s going to be crews working the main power lines, substations, and pole lines. Each one has to be coordinated to make sure each section is safe to power up. Areas they can’t get into will be isolated until they can inspect and repair. They will be looking for restoration of power to hospitals and other utilities first. It’s a matter of most important and biggest bang for the buck. If there’s major substation transformers or switch gear damaged that can be a major problem. Some or most of that equipment may need to be trucked in from long distances. I’ve had to fit a 1,000 kva transformer into a 750 kva spot because there wasn’t a direct replacement available. It’s tough and time consuming. Control boards, transfer switch parts may not be available. Trying to put in a different brand is a pain. If buss bars are damaged you might have to wait until new ones are custom made for it.

When they get into the neighborhoods if they see any problems with the service to a house they will cut it loose and carry on down the road.

Hoping things will go smoothly. They are swarming the area with help so that’s really good. Love to all of you affected.
