Update from Duke Energy on repairs in Moore County

Last edited Tue Dec 6, 2022, 06:29 PM - Edit history (2)

This is 12 hours earlier then they estimated this morning.

Important outage update for Moore County (12/6) >

Crews are making good progress on the substation repairs in Moore Co. and are currently ahead of schedule for bringing the repaired equipment back on-line. Barring any setbacks, we now expect to have the majority of service fully restored before midnight on Wednesday, with restoration in some areas beginning as early as tomorrow afternoon. We greatly appreciate your continued patience.

I was visiting there last month. Had this happened in Harnett while I was there, we would be without water as well as power due to being on a well.

Sheriff Fields is typical of the law enforcement in the rural counties in NC. I'm glad the FBI is involved.
