Judge Leticia Astacio jailed without bail for allegedly violating probation again
ROCHESTER -- Embattled City Court Judge Leticia Astacio has allegedly violated her probation again by refusing to wear a monitoring bracelet and was sent back to jail, where she is being held without bail.
Astacio appeared in court Thursday afternoon without an attorney. According to Astacio, she learned about the appearance about one hour before.
On Wednesday, her lawyer Gregory Salmon asked the court to relieve him as Astacio's counsel and the court complied. Salmon was the third round of lawyers to represent Astacio's criminal case since her initial arrest on a driving while intoxicated charge on Feb. 13, 2016.
According to Astacio, Salmon did not contact her about the Thursday appearance.
