What were you doing and what do you remember the most? How has it effected you?
I feel like we were attacked then by the Middle East and now I feel like we were attacked by the Russians. I feel like we are STILL being attacked by the Russians as much as any other terrorist organization and frustrated that our government (45 and the GOP) is allowing it to continue.

(13,610 posts)at the moment... packing my bags to leave for JFK on the 12th. I put it off a week or so but found a flight in finally. Spent a month or so working in Manhattan midtown. Life went on. NYorkers are brilliant under fire and have the tightest community spirit.
A real life changer for me... saw a lot... wore the mask. The world changed.
Many have stated it better than I. I'll leave the detail to them.
It's still raw on my mind.

(5,196 posts)Turned on TV just after first plane hit; they still didn't know if was a small private plane or a larger one, and was it accidentally hit?
Then we saw the second plane hit the second tower and all hell broke loose re speculation.
Reports of other planes ready to attack the US, then the plane down near Shanksville PA, the another hit the Pentagon.
Watching bodies leap or fall through the air to escape the heat and flames.
People waving or even trying to escape out windows to another floor, then slipping and falling to their death.
You all know the rest.
And that terrible evening and night when people posted pictures and notes asking if any one had seen their loved one.
I'll never forget it.
