New Mexico Art Collective Seeks Union, Management Resists

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Workers at a New Mexico art collective are seeking to unionize, they said in a statement.

Employees at the Santa Fe-based art collective Meow Wolf are seeking to unionize under the Communications Workers of America umbrella.

The workers said in a statement Tuesday that they will “demand a seat at the table in matters of employment protection, diversity and inclusion, pay equity, clear paths to advancement and creativity within the company."

The National Labor Relations Board says workers can form a union either by a petition and election or by their employer voluntarily recognizing the union.
