UFC champ Jon "Bones" Jones faces battery charges in assault
KOAT-TV published a report of battery charges against UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon "Bones" Jones stemming from an alleged incident at an Albuquerque, New Mexico strip club.
The latest legal issues stem from a visit to Albuquerque's TDs Eubank Showclub in April. A cocktail waitress at the establishment called the police to her home and told the authorities Jones slapped her inappropriately, pulled her on his lap and kissed her neck. She also said Jones put her in a chokehold and lifted her off the ground. According to the report, the woman asked for Jones to stop, but he kept touching her until he left the club.
According to a criminal summons, the waitress had been serving Jones and his brother throughout the day at an Albuquerque strip club. The woman told police Jones slapped her genitals and started asking her to give him a table dance. The summons states the woman consistently told Jones that cocktail waitresses do not give table dances and informed him of the clubs policies.
The woman said later than evening she was at the bar, when Jones approached the bartender to order two more shots. While he was waiting for his drinks, the woman said Jones placed her in a rear naked choke hold, the summons detailed. When the woman broke free, the summons goes on to read that Jones picked the woman up off the ground and started to spin her around in the air.
He was charged with battery after the woman spoke with police.
