These 7 bills waiting on Christie's desk could affect millions across New Jersey

TRENTON — By enacting a law that bars the state pension fund from investing in companies that refuse to do business with Israel, Gov. Chris Christie Tuesday took a small step toward clearing off the mountain of bills piled atop his desk.

Another 46 pieces of legislation await the governor's action. Some he has vetoed before and likely don't have a chance of passing this time, either. Others that received bipartisan backing could be signed into law.

Here are a half dozen of the top bills still waiting for some action.

In June, the Legislature passed a contentious bill aiming to restart the science of personalized handguns programmed to a specific owner.
