(Press Release): Your HHRS News.com, a new portal of news stories and information about health, medicine, fitness and nutrition in New Jersey, proudly wraps up its debut with a review of its first year, and picks what they refer to as the "Jersey-Est" Stories Of 2014.

"What is 'Jersey-Est'? Well, that's kind of hard to explain," smiles editor Adrienne Collier. "It's not about being good or bad. It has more to do with doing the right thing and getting the job done despite the odds and without getting caught up in pretension. It's more of an attitude -- and of course, New Jersey is the global leader in the exportation of attitude!"

Leading the pack is the rock band Bon Jovi, cited as Men Of The Year for their tag team tackling of medical issues: from ALS (they all took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge) to curbing heroin abuse to caring for the medically uninsured.

But fame and fortune aren't required to qualify as Jersey-Est -- our Woman Of The Year is someone you probably haven't heard of. But Jamesburg area social worker Gerriann LaGuardia looks like a superstar in our book because she came up with a way to help children with autism have stress-free meetings with Santa Claus!
