Vote by mail update: 470k have voted in New Jersey

470,657 New Jersey voters have submitted their ballots out of the 1.060 million people who have requested mail-in ballots. 50.3% of Democrats and 47.6% of Republicans have returned their requested absentee ballots, according to the analysis.

Registered Democrats account for 292,687, or about 62.2%, of the returned ballots. Republicans are responsible for 97,065 returned ballots (20.6% of the total) and unaffiliated voters have submitted 79,263 (16.8%).

Early ballots from Democrats, who are more likely to vote early and have more registered voters in the state, generally outnumber Republican mail-in votes.

Dubicki wrote that at this point in time in 2022, 320,936 voters had returned their ballots.
