I know it's the globe - but they've done a pretty good breakdown of how and "what if". My concern would be the upstanding citizens brigade in white rural and suburban districts trying to shove an out of town Candidate down the throats of Newark New Jerseyans. Or - another frivolous law suit to keep a female candidate off the ballot.

Appointee needs to reflect Newark.

(3,180 posts)and we are nowhere near Newark. We have been gerrymandered so often that our heads are spinning.
Our Congressional Representative used to be Mikie Sherrill. Our town is 88.6% white.

But - that said - I'm being black in Hunterdon . . .
I've reached out and received response from both Payne and and Watson Coleman. I'm like an ink spot in the 7th District.

The primary choices will probably be among present office holders. My primary vote goes to whoever has the best record on progressive issues. Probably Ras Baraka if he choses to run.
