In 2013, Fred Daibes, a New Jersey businessman, told police that he was the victim of an armed robbery, reporting that at least 22 gold bars were stolen from him. Nearly a decade later, at least four bars linked to the robbery were allegedly found in a FBI search of Sen. Bob Menendezs home.

It looks like another plot twist for Senator Menendez. While I suspect that there were intermediaries between Daibes and the senator, it throws up another red flag for the prosecutors to investigate.

The first recent story I heard was just now on "Way Too Early" about the gold bars, so maybe there is not an intentional effort to limit coverage out of sensitivity to his daughter, but her continuous appearances on Nicole's show--which would normally cover the story as much as any other show, seems problematic. Perhaps that is not the best show for her to host right now?
