Ex-MMA Fighter Convicted of Punching a Cop During Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol Siege Files Notice of Appeal

The first Capitol siege defendant to plead guilty to assaulting a police officer on Jan. 6 is appealing his case.

Scott Fairlamb, the New Jersey gym owner and ex-MMA fighter who pleaded guilty in August, filed the appeal documents in federal court on Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth sentenced Fairlamb to 41 months in prison on Nov. 10.
