(48,817 posts)The Bergen Record was owned by one family who sold it to Gannet. The paper halved the staff of writers and halved the number of pages published. And the same caliber of journalism as The Star Ledger. And no minimum of free articles per month. It's just not worth it.

The editorial section now sucks. Recent op.ed piece was by the president of a Koch funded organization, "Garden State.." something or other.
Then you have Mulshine. He is right, about once every 70 columns.
