Your HHRS News.com, the New Jersey Health/Medical/Fitness/Nutrition news blog, closes out its sixth year with its fifth "Jersey-est" Awards.
The awards are cyber rather than physical in nature, but as editor Adrienne Collier explains, "It's a way of making sure the achievements of the the recipients are spotlighted, and of thanking our readers for their support and providing yet another year of increased readership.
"We call it 'Your' HHRS News not only because it's named after Home Health Radiology Services, but because so much depends on our very readers when they need to publicize their health-related news and events."
For 2018, the Woman Of the Year and Man of The Year have survival in common: Antonia Montalvo turned her early life of heroin addiction and domestic violence into a a program that provides support and housing for addicted women; and Kevin Saum turned his football brain injury into a regular podcast featuring advocation for safety in youth and pro sports.
