Michigan group joins fight over Bernards mosque

BERNARDS - A Michigan group, whose mission is to "defend and promote America's Judeo-Christian heritage and moral values," has joined the federal court battle over a proposed mosque in the township.

The Thomas More Law Center, headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is seeking to quash subpoenas issued by the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge to eight residents who opposed the controversial application to build a 4,252-square-foot house of worship on Church Street.
