Couple admits stealing $322K in goods from employer, selling the items on eBay, report says

MOUNT HOLLY -- A Camden County couple pleaded guilty in Burlington County Superior Court this week to stealing $322,000 of audio-visual equipment from their employer and selling it on eBay, the Burlington County Times reports.

Gustavo A. Gomez, 44, and his wife, Donna Gomez, 61, both of Voorhees, admitted selling the stolen goods in more than 100 online auctions from 2006 to 2007 from their Moorestown employer.

Under a plea deal, Gustavo Gomez will receive five years in prison and his wife will receive five years probation and community service, the report said.

Gomez was the company's audiovisual inventory control manager and his wife was the general manager, NJ.com reported when the pair was charged in December 2015.

1. Very common theft that is happening

in multi line goods distribution. Before e-bay it was Flea Markets. Nice to see prosecution,that is rare,most companies just file on their Bonding Company and fire the employee.
