Port Authority cops bust N.J. man who allegedly owes $94,000 in unpaid tolls

This guy makes stealing look E-Z.

Port Authority cops arrested a 43-year-old New Jersey man accused of racking up $94,000 in unpaid bridge and tunnel tolls, officials said Saturday.

Sean Haluska, of Farmingdale, was stopped after he failed to pay the toll on Staten Island to the Outerbridge Crossing about 9:40 a.m. Friday, officials said.

Haluska tried to slip through the toll plaza without his E-ZPass tag. When stopped, he claimed he didn’t have an E-ZPass account, but police quickly learned that was not the case.

His account showed he has more than 1,490 violations — and owed $94,600 in tolls and fees, Port Authority spokesman Joe Pentangelo said. He was also driving with a suspended license.
