Recall election set for McCool Village Board member in February

McCool Junction, Neb. (KOLN) - The York County clerk confirmed Wednesday that a recall election for a McCool Village Board member will take place on Feb. 11, 2025.

In September, Larry Blum filed to circulate a petition asking to recall board member Patricia Wagner, who is in halfway through her four-year term.

Blum cited reasons including alleged violations of open meetings laws, abusive behavior toward employees, and directing outside businesses not to contact the village clerk or board members.

Wagner denied the allegations. “To my knowledge I have followed the open meeting laws. I have never spoken abusively to any employee or member of the public, nor have I directed anyone to not speak to the village clerk or any board members, and request proof of all allegations.”
