Lindenwood president expects to be fired. He says he has no idea why.

On Friday, Michael Shonrock expects to get fired as president of Lindenwood University.

He has no idea why.

On Tuesday morning, Shonrock was hand-delivered a letter signed by Lindenwood Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. J. Michael Conoyer. The letter informed the private university’s president that he was being placed on paid administrative leave.

“He’s given me no reason why,” Shonrock says. “The letter doesn’t describe any rationale at all.”

It’s the second time in three months that a president of one of the university’s campuses has been placed on administrative leave. In November, Brett Barger, then president of Lindenwood University-Belleville, was placed on administrative leave, the Belleville News-Democrat reported. Barger is no longer at the university.
