Mississippi Truck Driver Who Didn’t Vote Because He Was Out Of Town Wins Democratic Primary

http://dailycaller.com/2015/08/05/mississippi-truck-driver-who-didnt-vote-because-he-was-out-of-town-wins-democratic-primary/

The truck driver who won Mississippi’s Democratic primary Tuesday with more than 146,000 votes admitted that he didn’t vote in the election because he “had to do a lot of stuff and just lost track of time.”

Robert Gray told Mississippi Public Broadcasting that he didn’t campaign much, and he didn’t report spending any money on his campaign.

“Actually, it wasn’t too much campaigning,” Gray told MPB. “It was a couple of events, but even though my opponents did a lot of hard campaigning they only reached a few people. You know, it was just people showing up, voting and, I guess random, voting.”

He also said the 146,163 people who voted for him had not idea who he was.

wouldn't necessarily blame chicanery.

I doubt the pukes were quaking in their boots over the lady that was "supposed to" win the primary.

This seems to be a low-key race that Dems didn't think they could win so it got little attention, voters likely didn't know jack about any of the Dems so they picked the name that sounded best to them.

I'd blame the state party for failing to publicize to enough people who the serious candidate was in this race. Sigh.

What happened here? The guy reported no raising of money, didn't participate in the voting yesterday, and is an unknown in this state. His name was first on the ballot. Does he even have a chance against republican Phil Bryant? I read that his reported address was investigated and found to be abandoned.
