Yes, but: A number of Minnesota's neighboring states are expected to ban or further limit access to abortion in the wake of today's ruling. North Dakota and South Dakota have "trigger" laws that automatically outlaw the procedure.

That's why local providers are preparing for a surge in patients.
Politicians and groups that oppose legal abortion, meanwhile, have vowed to continue efforts to further regulate and reduce the procedure in Minnesota.

On Wednesday, Wisconsin's Republican-controlled Legislature refused to overturn the state's ban as Evers called on them to do. Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos supports an exception for rape and incest, but the state ban only provides one for the life of the mother.
