I don't think I've ever been there. I did live in Austin, TX though when I went to grad school. I know 98 is standard there. It's probably gotten hotter in the 24 yrs since I left.

are you a native Minnesotan? My grandparents lived there and I was always amazed that I would be served a huge meal, then for seconds it was, well, another huge meal

born in Illinois. Though I have no memory of living in Illinois. We moved away when I was a baby. All my family is in Minnesota.

I have to say that I loved living in Austin.

I was stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base and then stayed on; alas, last time I was there it felt like a mini-Dallas

I might have to break down and deal with it. It's already 90 out, somewhat better than it could be because it's breezy, but the downstairs of my house is still livable; I just sit in front of a fan. Upstairs gets too warm during the day. Might get out that a/c later.
