Gotta hope this stuff is kept in check as much as possible. We already know that voter suppression and gerrymandering will continue to be obstacles to overcome.

(25,267 posts)not the 2020 election, the 2016 election.
I remember abnormalities in at least 3 states, Kentucky, Florida, and Maine, but if Democrats complain about those abnormalities we are labeled as conspiracy kooks.
Remember the Diebolt machines, no paper trail.

Put these folks under oath, then lets see what can be proven.

(25,267 posts)You aren't saying there was no interference in the 2016 election are you?
Do you remember Konstantin Kilimnik and Paul Manafort? Remember how the DNC was hacked?
Mueller indicted or got guilty pleas from;
George Popadopoulas
Paul Manafort
Rick Gates
Michael Flynn
13 Russian nationals
3 Russian companies
Richard Pinedo
Alex van der Zwaan
Konstantin Kilimnik
12 Russian GRU officers
Roger Stone
Sam Patten
Remember the only reason that Mueller could not legally prove criminal election conspiracy was because Russians involved could not be subpoenaed.
With all of that election tampering I am supposed to believe that rigging machines that have no paper trail is just a wild conspiracy theory, just hearsay?
The proof is in the abnormalities in certain states that were outside exit polling, outside margins of error in polling.
When foreign countries wanted someone to oversee their elections one of the main tools that was used by independent election watchers was exit polling.
There were abnormalities in the 2016 election.

(18,529 posts)Those specific allegations have not been proven- no evidence has been offered other than anecdotes that carry the same weight and credibility as the allegations from Sidney Powell, Lin Wood or Rudy.
Should they be investigated? Sure- put Jacobus and her sources under oath, then lets see what shakes out.

(3,655 posts)That is how the UN monitors elections. The discrepancies often happen in GOP precincts and heavily in majority GOP states. Mitch McConnell's last victory was marked by vast deviations from the exit polls. We need to setup a paper trail with ballots and have any software counting or tabulating votes to be audit able and the code base to be open to review. 2004 was shady too.

(26 posts)I recall reading that 10 of thousands of people went in person to vote but did not select Trump or Clinton - they left it blank or voted for Mickey Mouse. I remember the figures were for Detroit (70,000), Philadelphia (80,000) and Miami-Dade (175,000) or close to those numbers.
I really find it hard to believe that a person would go the voting site and not vote for a presidential candidate. I read that in the last election Senator Romney voted for Reagan so it does happen but those particular cities in those states with those numbers - kind of suspicious. In LA county only about 5,000 didn't vote for president. Were votes deleted?
I hate to beat a dead horse but the totals in Ohio precincts that year didn't seem possible either - Trump won by exactly 2,000 votes in a large number of precincts.
I firmly believe that Hillary won but for criminal interference.

(11,835 posts)Thousands of voters in Detroit voted but somehow failed to cote for president, literally the most important position on the ballot. Highly unusual.
And now pro-Trump people in Georgia who illegally accessed voting machines in Georgia and made mirror images of everything on them have had time to study the machines and figure out ways to rig them for 2024.
