I don't think we can have every voting precinct location open and available. We'd have to find people to staff the tables for handing out ballots, registrations, etc. Then the parties will have to get observers to the polling places. Many of our polliing places are in schools, so we would have to shut down classes or mix voters and students in the hallway, neither of which is a good solution.

I hope we sort this out quickly; early voting ia a great idea. I think it's better than mail-in, just because we are more assured that each voter casts their vote confidentially, not at the kitchen table with spouse or other influencers.

Poll workers sometimes put in some long hours on election day. I'd hate to sign up for nine days of that. Yikes.

If it turns out to be a bad idea, you can blame me. I voted for it.
