Printer snafu blamed for error on some absentee ballot envelopes in Saginaw County
A small township in Saginaw County accidentally sent an unknown number of absentee ballots with an outer envelope that contained a City of Wixom return address.
Carrollton Township officials alerted voters to the error Monday via a message from its police department.
The Wixom return address is on the outside envelope only, according to the township’s statement on social media. The inner envelope that is returned to the township with a voter’s completed ballot inside contains the correct address for Carrollton Township ballot returns, officials said.
“We APOLOGIZE for this oversight and assure you that the most important part - your AV Ballots are CORRECT AND VALID!!” the post said.
