Dickinson County absentee ballots delayed due to last minute changes
DICKINSON COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - Absentee ballots for Dickinson County will be delayed, according to the Dickinson County Clerks Office.
In a phone call with TV6, Dickinson County Clerk Carol Bronzyk said the ballots that were supposed to be mailed out on Friday will be delayed because Election Source, the servicing company, has been dealing with last-minute candidate changes in a number of races. She said Election Source was also unsure if RFK would appear on ballots.
The absentee ballot mailings will be delayed due to the issues with some candidates and the U.S. Supreme Court, Bronzyk said. We hope to have our ballots soon. The printer is working on them now.
Bronzyk says she is unsure when the county will receive the ballots but does not anticipate the delay will impact residents ability to cast their votes before the election deadline.
She says once the Clerks Office receives the ballots they will go out to voters.
