The tornado that hit Grand Blanc, MI is classified as an EF-2 with 115 mph winds

Certainly explains the damage. One resident described her yard as looking like a war zone. I don't know if it was post storm hyperbole, but I heard a reporter say that one house was destroyed and it's a miracle that nobody inside was even injured!! Of course, all of these homes have basements.

The schools are closed for the day. There's still one pretty sizable power outage but it looks like it will be resolved this morning.

I'm just beyond grateful that my niece's home was untouched because all of the severe damage happened on the streets directly behind the house.
