(135,425 posts)and only got maybe 14 takers, and a couple of those cancelled. I used my crappy car! A few trips, and I was done.
Usually, they're calling ME.
The Lynch-leaners were mostly absentee, so -- since I'm for Markey, and I won't pretend otherwise -- that was fine with me.

(135,425 posts)THAT's the thing that makes me go hmmmmmm!
Especially in his subspecialty--Navy Seals don't have any trouble promoting if they do their job reasonably well, stay super fit, and have that "team" attitude. Particularly in the environment of the last 12 years....
I had to laugh at his campaign commercial (I am guessing they will keep recycling it)...since when does the ability to recite the Pledge of Allegiance qualify an individual for a seat in the Senate? And since when does a Hispanic with half a brain expect ANYTHING--and I'm talking about basic respect, here-- from the MA GOP? That's the real "I'm a Moron" moment when it comes to that guy!
I am wary, though--the national GOP may think they can hornswaggle us again. We'll see how much money they give this guy.

(17,055 posts)and guess what? I'm sending some. Who the heck can refuse Robert Redford????? Not me.
Kidding aside, I'm going to donate and try working for Markey. I WILL NOT accept another Scott Brown here in MA!
Screw MA Republicans, they can kiss my ass.

(135,425 posts)I don't buy the charming story he's shopping...and I'm sick of "out of town" so-called "businessmen" coming in to MA to wreak havoc...
Mitt rMoney from Michigan-Utah....now this guy...from Los Angeles! To hell with that crap. And he barely spent enough time in the military to pay back his USNA tuition...very interesting that he didn't keep on with that trajectory--particularly since he chose a subspecialty that lends itself to a respectable career path.
I think there's more to learn, here...

(21,020 posts)we had people here installing a gas furnace that day, in and out of the house...total chaos because the installers put the furnace in backwards the day before and they had to turn it around and re-do some of the venting.
I did get out this past Saturday for our town election, though.
And will definitely be voting in the statewide election for the Senate seat.
