Boston Herald--typical BS headline re: Menino not picking favorite in Special Senate Race

http://bostonherald.com/news_opinion/local_politics/2013/03/sources_mayor_menino_won_t_back_stephen_lynch

Menino isn't stupid...while he does business with Lynch, he knows who the favorite is. And that ain't Lynch....

Other sources also told the Truth Squad that Menino is not planning to throw his support behind Lynch, which would be a major victory for his rival, U.S. Rep. Edward J. Markey (D-Malden).

Lynch, a South Boston Democrat, is a former union leader with Ironworkers Local 7 and had been counting on the backing of top unions and possibly even Menino to help overcome Markey’s support from state and national Democratic leaders.

Menino had met with Lynch and encouraged him to get into the race, and one of the mayor’s top political advisers, Ed Jesser, is helping Lynch’s campaign, leading some insiders to believe the mayor also would eventually back Lynch.
