Scott Brown joins Kadant paper company board of directors

Former Republican Sen. Scott Brown took the first step towards readjusting to life in the private sector on Wednesday as he landed a job on the board of a Central Massachusetts business, Kadant Inc.

In a statement, Brown, who represented the Bay State in the U.S. Senate from 2010 to 2012, said he was excited to join the Westford-based pulp and paper company and looking forward to the new challenges the position may bring.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to contribute to Kadant and learn more about the challenges of an international business,” Brown said. “Kadant has been on the forefront of designing and manufacturing equipment to recycle and produce paper for decades. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experiences and contributing to the future direction and growth of this global leader.”

Kadant spokesman Thomas O’Brien said Brown will fill out the remaining two years of the term of a director who retired.

around!

Sounds like an adequate fit for a less-than-adequate individual. He's like W, getting money for going to board meetings once a month.

It beats working, I suppose...
