I spent hours and hours sledding. Our longest community sledding run ended at a cow pasture fenced in with barbed wire. It was a rite of passage to have a section of your head shaved so that stitches could be applied after you hit the barbed wire fence. Stitches were for newbies, scars set apart the veterans.

4. Many, many, MANY...

... moons ago, we had a great toboggan run down Fairview Road in Monterey, Mass. Not as long as this beauty, but lotsa fun, nevertheless! The road was closed in winter just past our driveway, and it was quite a slog to the top, but boy, Howdy, we could get some speed comin' down!
