Carmen Electra files lawsuit against Golden Banana strip club in Peabody

Entertainment star Carmen Electra and eight other women are suing a Massachusetts strip club for allegedly using their photos in advertisements without permission.

Electra, the “Baywatch” actress, glamour model and singer whose real name is Tara Leigh Patrick, is one of nine plaintiffs in a complaint against D&B Corporation and its president, Mark Filtranti. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Boston on July 1.

According to the complaint, images of the models were inappropriately used or altered to make it look as the women worked at or somehow endorsed the Golden Banana in Peabody.

The strip club allegedly altered an image of Electra and many of the other models to make it look as though they were all exotic dancers who worked at the venue. The photos were then shared to the Golden Banana’s social media accounts on Instagram and Facebook, the complaint says.
