(135,425 posts)I park my car when I'm unloading family/stuff.
Thank heavens I turned it around and parked in the drive instead--I'd have a smooshed car.
I wasn't planning on sawing tomorrow, but that looks like it is on the schedule. Grrr!
Oh well, it'll make nice firewood.

(87,515 posts)It has quieted down here, only lost small limbs that I can see. This after Mondays storm in my area. Wind thunder hail and torrential rain and the scariest low clouds you have ever seen. Lucky me, I was out in it.
Make sure you get the sawing done early, our heat index looks pretty bad as well. At least you will enjoy some fires come winter, MADem.
Stay safe.

(87,515 posts)I don't have a Boston accent. I had one teacher in High School ask me where I was born and raised. I said here, he was like, really?

(87,515 posts)that is hot. We are only 90.
This storm was mostly high wind where I am. Mondays storm was scary, high wind, torrential rain and hail. I had to run to my car with severe thunderstorms. Yikes.
I sorry. Stay cool, BlueCaliDem.

(15,438 posts)love a nice spell (three-four days) of rain here. It really is a scorcher today! Got hot already around 9 this morning!
My electric bill is going to be sky-high, but I have a Pug and a Chow and they can't take even the slightest heat, so air-co is on pretty much all day and most of the night.
Gonna do my darnedest, she! And thank you.

(9,463 posts)Wow!! Such fun!!
Was at a concert/fireworks event to kick off the Peabody 100 Celebration. We did get through most of the "acapella" singers, and were waiting for the Navy Band, when, suddenly, the fireworks show started unexpectedly!!
----Oh, wait!!!---- That was thunder and lightning with very strong winds and a probable micro-burst. More than a little scary!
Several small trees in the area were damaged/down.
Got home safely, and am looking forward to maybe seeing the fireworks tonight instead. Likely no Navy Band, though!
