Suspect, 2 Victims Dead After Stabbings In Taunton

TAUNTON (CBS) – An off-duty officer shot and killed a man who allegedly stabbed two people at a shopping mall and two others at a home in Taunton Tuesday night. Two of the victims did not survive.

Police responded to the Silver City Galleria shopping mall just before 7:00 p.m. after the man crashed a black Honda Accord into the entrance of a Macy’s store.

Moments later, the man allegedly stabbed two people inside the mall. The unidentified suspect was shot and killed by an off-duty Plymouth County sheriff’s deputy at the mall.

Two other victims were stabbed at a home on Myricks Street.

on the car radio for a good portion of the day, yesterday. How very sad this is. The man was obviously not fully of sound mind.

I feel very badly for the families of the victims.
