Hackers steal millions of Verizon Enterprise customers data
Published 11:30 AM EDT Mar 26, 2016

NEW YORK —More than 1.5 million Verizon Enterprise customers had their personal information leaked on an underground cybercrime forum, cybersecurity blogger Brian Krebs reported.

Krebs reported that the database containing the contact information was being advertised on an underground cybercrime forum.

How much is personal information worth? According to Krebs, the seller priced the entire package at $100,000, but also offered to sell it off in chunks of 100,000 records for $10,000 apiece.

The vulnerability, which was investigated and fixed, did not leak any data on consumer customers, Verizon said in a statement.
