Beginning April 1, the Rose Kennedy Greenway will be home to a record line-up of 34 food trucks and trikes. That includes 10 news vendors, all offering cuisine from bacon delicacies to burgers, wood-fired pizzas and gourmet cupcakes.
We are so pleased to welcome the return of spring with the opening of our seventh season of Mobile Eats, said Jesse Brackenbury, executive director of the Greenway Conservancy. The tremendous variety of fresh, distinctive, and locally sourced food items available at reasonable prices makes Mobile Eats a popular reason to visit The Greenway... and to keep coming back."
There will be up to 20 food options on the Greenway at any one time. In the seven years of the Mobile Eats program, this year's offering is the largest to date. The primary locations for weekday food vending include Dewey Square (Park Plaza), Dewey Square Park and Rowes Wharf Plaza.
Here are the new vendors for the 2016 season:
* Chik Chak (Middle Eastern)
* Cupcake City (gourmet cupcakes)
* Gogi on the Block ("Korean Fusion Food Truck run by an actual Korean dude)
* Jamaica Me Hungry (Jamaican)
* Munch Mobile (elevated street food)
* Quebrada (gourmet baked goods)
* Roving Lunch Box (savory & sweet hand pies)
* Sheherezad (Iraqi and Middle Eastern cuisine)
* Walden Meat Co. (local, sustainable and humanely raised 100% grass-fed beef burgers)
* Walloon's Fried Chicken (buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches and hand-cut fries)
