Surprising advice for Baker: Be more like Patrick
By Frank Phillips Globe Staff December 17, 2015

The state’s Republican national committeewoman Chanel Prunier got her party post when Charlie Baker, who was courting the party’s conservative base early in his campaign, cleared away the opposition. So the article she wrote this month on a conservative blog must have snapped his head back.

In fact the headline itself in the New Boston Post was enough to get the attention of any politically savvy reader: “Charlie Baker should be more like Deval Patrick.’’

Prunier, who has strongly held socially conservative views that are directly opposed to the governor’s positions, wrote that Baker’s leadership skills pale compared to the more charismatic and very liberal Democrat who helped lead the final push that locked down the legalization of gay marriage in Massachusetts.

“As he approaches the end of his first year, Charlie Baker has been a great manager, but right now, he could use a dose of Deval Patrick,’’ the 33-year-old Shrewsbury resident wrote.

Baker already is on that path:

Patrick single-handedly shut down Cape Wind which was a gigantic mistake. Baker killed Mass solar projects.

Baker is also working to insure that LNG will be available for new gas fired plants by having current Mass electricity users pay for the new gas lines to go to the new power plants. As a result Mass electricity and gas charges are 'well above national averages, contributing to the area's high cost of living. '

Patrick was for Charter Schools. Baker is Patrick on steroids when dealing with Charter Schools.

Will Baker be better a better gov than Mitt the shit? I doubt it.

Will Baker be better a better gov than Weld? No.

I don't think Baker will try to Jindal or Brownback this state into bankruptcy.
