Another new apartment building is getting underway in the Fenway.
Skanska USA and Prudential Real Estate Investors said Tuesday that they plan to start work this month on a long-planned 17-story, 212-unit apartment tower at 1350 Boylston St. The project, on the site of an old Burger King, is the latest in a string of new developments that have turned a stretch of fast-food outlets and gas stations into one of the hotter residential neighborhoods in the city.
Its across the street from a complex of new buildings developed by Samuels & Associates, including Pierce Boston, a 30-story condo and apartment tower at the intersection of Brookline Avenue and Boylston Street that had its ceremonial groundbreaking last week.
Now
Skanska, a Swedish construction giant thats developing three buildings in the Seaport, is diving into the Fenway, too.
