Boston considering body cameras for police officers
Published 6:56 AM EDT Aug 04, 2015

BOSTON —Police officers in Boston could soon be wearing body cameras.

City Council is set to take up the idea Wednesday, although Commissioner Bill Evans still has some concerns about privacy and costs.

The plan would be to outfit most uniformed or plainclothes officers with the cameras, except for the ones working undercover.

One local department is already using the cams. Methuen is in the middle of a pilot program.
