(135,425 posts)I don't have a lot of voters this time around, fewer than thirty on my list, and I usually end up with fewer takers than askers. I am going out to make a couple more runs in an hour or so. This crew will be the groups that want to go vote and then be dropped off at the store to shop and then take the bus home! I'll even pick people up from the doctor and take them home by way of the polls, if that's what it takes (heh, heh!).

(135,425 posts)I don't have a lot of disposable income, and if I have anything to spare, I usually have a relative who could use some help! But what I do have is time, and I figure I can give a little of that--every bit helps! Corporations are most certainly not people, but we've heard all our lives that Time is Money!!

(7,981 posts)It was very quiet at my polling place out in Western MA. I hope we get a good turnout statewide.

(135,425 posts)On my last run, it looked like it was starting to pick up. I hope most of 'em are Maaaaaah-key votahs!!!!
My polling place was doing OK~ By no means swamped. I have to factor in that my town isn't huge!
Markey!!!!!!

(135,425 posts)Not bad for an off year/special, really. It's hot as a basstid out there, though--and my a/c needs a goose, too, so it wasn't a luxury limo ride by a long shot. Beat walking, but not by much! I brought ice cold water bottless for everyone and no one refused!
There were a lot of people going in and out just now--I guess the "home from work" crowd is starting to hit the place.
Go, MAAAAAAAH-KEY!!!!!

(87,491 posts)I only ended up hauling my mom and a few of her friends. Mom is almost 87 and refuses to fix the AC in her car. She would have perished in this heat!
Well at least I knew who they were voting for!
MAAAAAAAAH-KEY!
Waiting now!

(135,425 posts)....that's what I heard, anyway; and then they'll do coverage on the main channels concurrent w/the nightly news at eleven.
Not sure if they're going to cut into the late night programming--with any luck they'll be able to call it decisively for our team and move on smartly....I'd prefer that to a long, drawn out precinct by precinct count with all the damn fretting...!
I'm watching a stupid movie with the family--destressing after a busy day!
